The 77 Most Unforgettable Movie Songs - part 2

This is the 2nd part  of my post....Today I've thought of bringing you few of the most unforgettable movie songs of this era. Some of you may not heard these but try to see whether they are of any good ;))

60. The Knack, 'My Sharona' ('Reality Bites,' 1994)
The Knack's ode to cradle robbing inspired a spontaneous convenience-store dance party in Ben Stiller's slacker classic, proving just how much those Gen-Xers love their one-hit wonders. Surprisingly, Winona Ryder never dated anyone in the band. -- JP

59. Madonna, 'Into the Groove' ('Desperately Seeking Susan,' 1985)
The only thing that eluded Madge in the '80s was respect from Hollywood. It didn't help that her first dramatic role required her to do no acting at all, since "Susan" conveniently walked and talked exactly like ... Madonna. What range! It must have taken the costume designers ages to get her look just right. -- MTC

58. Sixpence None the Richer, 'Kiss Me' ('She's All That,' 1999)
When once-dorky Rachel Leigh Cook walked down the stairs and into the heart of oh-so-dreamy Freddie Prinze Jr. in this romantic comedy, offbeat adolescents everywhere learned that if you tried hard enough, you can actually earn the love and admiration of preppy, superficial douchebags. -- KD

57. Harry Nilsson, 'Everybody's Talkin' ('Midnight Cowboy,' 1969)
The only X-rated movie ever to win the Best Picture Oscar, 'Midnight Cowboy' was a racy portrait of innocence lost and the heartbreak of hustling. Nilsson's cover of this easygoing folk song sets the mood, and makes the film even more harrowing. -- JP

56. Boy George, 'The Crying Game' ('The Crying Game,' 1992)
Drag queens the world over still tear up when they hear this this smoky torch song byBoy George (originally recorded by Dave Berry). Good thing the producers didn't go with the film's original theme, 'Dude Looks Like a Lady.' -- MTC

55. Aimee Mann, 'Wise Up' ('Magnolia,' 1999)
'Save Me' got the Oscar nod, but this sad little ditty by 'Til Tuesday's former frontwomanwas so catchy, even the old dude on his death bed joins in the cast sing-along in 'Magnolia.' All together now! -- MTC

54. Harold Faltermeyer, 'Axel F' ('Beverly Hills Cop,' 1984)
Faltermeyer named this unlikely (and only) synth-pop hit after Axel Foley, Eddie Murphy's character in the film. Completing the concept, the song was recorded in the keys of F major and F minor. Those Germans are so clever! -- JP

53. Evanescence, 'Bring Me to Life' ('Daredevil,' 2003)
Do you think Amy Lee of Evanescence still cringes when she remembers that she owes Ben Affleck for her band's early success? Probably not as much as audiences cringed when they saw him in Double-D's ruby-red tights. -- MTC

52. Elliot Smith, 'Miss Misery' ('Good Will Hunting,' 1997)
As Matt Damon embarks on his solo road trip at the end of 'Good Will Hunting,' Smith's Oscar-nominated song forces us to reflect on the character's lonely condition -- and perhaps our own. Boo-hoo! Unfortunately, the late singer-songwriter -- who put a steak knife through his heart in 2003 -- knew that pain all too well. -- KD

51. Kermit the Frog, 'Rainbow Connection' ('The Muppet Movie,' 1979)
'The Muppet Movie' opens with Kermit picking his banjo and singing the best song about rainbows written since Dorothy landed in Oz. We're surprised this gem hasn't been covered by Clay Aiken or something. Not to give him any ideas! (Seriously, Clay ... don't.) -- JP

50. Q. Lazzarus, 'Goodbye Horses' ('The Silence of the Lambs,' 1996)
Sure, Buffalo Bill had a fetish for wearing human skins -- and God knows what he did with the other body parts -- but dude had a wicked CD collection. His superfreaky dance number in 'Silence of the Lambs' made us squirm, but it also unearthed a haunting tune by an obscure drag singer, which has now become a staple in hipster DJ sets. -- MTC

49. Geto Boys, 'Still' ('Office Space,' 1999)
Seems that 'Boyz 'N the Hood' have a lot in common with Boys in the Cubicles. The hook to this "beat for the beating" from the Geto Boys is savage, but doesn't hit nearly as hard as Michael Bolton's fist as it pummels a 30 GB hard drive in 'Office Space.' Download THIS, b----! -- MTC

48. The Creation, 'Making Time' ('Rushmore,' 1998)
Director Wes Anderson loves his montages, but this survey of Max Fischer's 18 extracurricular activities (including bee keeping, skeet shooting and calligraphy) in 'Rushmore' is his masterpiece. The Creation's 1966 mod-rock classic adds just the right edge for the most dangerous nerd in school. -- JP

47. The Doors, 'The End' ('Apocalypse Now,' 1979)
Francis Ford Coppola's notorious Vietnam War epic and the Doors' controversial murder-and-incest anthem were practically made for each other -- both are mysterious, melancholy and long as hell. The pairing produced one of the most arresting opening sequences ever committed to film. -- JP

46. R. Kelly, 'I Believe I Can Fly' ('Space Jam,' 1996)
Virtually every NBA montage of the past 10 years has featured this inspiring slow jam from R. Kelly. It all started in 'Space Jam,' when Michael Jordan teamed up with Bill Murray and a cartoon rabbit -- and proved that Tinsel Town can crap out a movie about anything. -- JP
